Enabling API Publishing

Enabling API Publishing, allows you to control which users can access an API of a project. When API Publishing is enabled, the User Management menu item is added to the Home menu. Invited users can then be provided with client credentials for basic authentication to access the API.

Public URL is the base URL for the endpoint.

Bearer Token Expires Daily - For security reasons, the bearer token is refreshed daily. You will need to update the token if you republish the project after the token has expired, usually after a period of 24 hours.

To enable API Publishing, follow these steps.

  1. From the Home menu, select API Publishing.

  2. Scroll down to Settings and set the Enable / Disable slider to On

  3. You can now implement access roles and rate limits for the endpoints in a project.

After API publishing is enabled, you need to republish the associated project.
