Creating Organizations

When you create an account in Xapix, a default organization is created for your new account. You are granted Owner rights to this organization. Within an organization, you create Projects, create Endpoints, define resources such as Connectors, build Pipelines and much more.

A Xapix user with admin rights can create additional Organizations and invite members with different rights to the Organization.

Organizations cannot have child Organizations.

About naming Organizations and Slugs

When creating an Organization, keep the name of an Organization as brief as possible. Furthermore, the slug for the Organization needs to be unique across all Organizations in your Xapix account. The slug will be used in all projects within the Organization.<slug of organization>/<slug of project>/

To create an Organization, follow these steps.

  1. On the Organization Overview page, click Create new Organization.

  2. In the Create New Organization pane, enter the following:

    • Provide a descriptive Name.

    • Enter a unique slug. Click Create.

  3. The new Organization appears on the Organization Overview.

  4. Click the new Organization to open the Organization dashboard.

  5. You can now start adding Projects to your new Organization.
